- How do I receive information and specials from your site?
If you purchase an item from us or sign our guestbook and include your email address, you will be added to our mailing list. Gifts from a Distance sends out a letter monthly announcing new items and specials. We typically offer a discount coupon each month to those on our mailing list.
- What if I don't want to receive any correspondence from Gifts from a Distance?
Just send us an email, and we will remove your name from the list.
- Do you share your list with any others?
No. We value your privacy and do not share our lists with anyone else.
- What is your typical shipping method?
Gifts from a Distance ususally ships via Fedex Ground in the continental US. We try to ship items within 48 hours after receiving an order. We will notify you immediately if an item is out of stock and when it is expected in.
- Can I add gift wrap or a hand designed, custom card to my order
Yes. At the current time, we are still trying to figure out how to include this feature on our site as a service, not subject to additional shipping charges. Gift wrapping which includes a custom card with your sentiment inside is $7.50 for the first package. A second package without a card will be wrapped at no additional charge. Additional packages to the same address are $5.00 per package. Additional cards (same sentiment or different sentiment) to the same address are $2.50 each. At this time, please call for our toll free number for gift wrapping services.
- How do I know my order is secure?
Gifts from a Distance is sensitive to purchasing items on the internet. Although we are a small company, we use the same merchant account xompany with the same secure check out features as does WalMart.
- Will you search for items for non profit organizations, corporations, weddings, bridal showers, anniversaries, baby showers, etc?
Yes. Gifts from a Distance has been very successful in providing items to groups like those above. We will be happy to search for any type of item in any price range for you, your company or your organization.
- How do I know your customers are satisfied with your products and your customer service?
Gifts from a Distance is creating a Customer Testamonial page for that very purpose. We want you to feel comfortable doing business with us. Our customers are very satisfied. Many of them have shopped with us numerous times.
- What is your return policy?
We accept returns up to 30 days after the date of purchase. If the product is defective we will replace it or refund your money. If you are returning it because you've changed your mind and it is in new condition we will refund your purchase price but you pay the shipping. You should always contact us by email or at 8770496-2259 to be sure we handle this to your satisfaction
